About the studio

Three Thirteen Studios is an independent game studio that makes games about people. The studio comes from journalism, so every game starts with how something actually works, like a domino table, a delivery route or a seat of power, and turns it into a system players can learn, master and share.

Coming this fall: Late Freight, a courier sim about the day you planned and the day you actually get, and Mesa, which brings dominoes to the living room as a party game played from your phone. In development: Letterman, a high school sports sim about the athletic director hired to bring a neglected program back, and The Chair, a single-player crime leadership drama about inheriting power nobody agrees you earned. In concept: Bad Atmosphere, a fast team shooter where every world has its own physics.

Phones up. Tiles down. Mesa is dominoes as a party game. Four players join from their phones, the TV becomes the table, and everyone in the room is watching. Read your partner from what they play and what they hold back, and play to 200 the way it's played at the table.

Features

  • Phones are the controllers; the TV is the table
  • Dominoes to 200 in pairs or 1 vs 1, with common house-rule variants
  • Built-in tutorials for new players
  • Spectators follow the game and talk to the table, but never see a hand
  • A living corner: street sounds, neighbors, and bachata from the colmado’s speaker

Release
November 2026, on Steam

The day isn't over. Late Freight is a courier sim written by someone who drove the route for five years. You drive for Sundown Express: load the van, plan your stops, and get through the day on the body you brought to work. Then dispatch calls. A flex driver is on the way with late freight, and the plan you made at 7 a.m. is gone.

Features

  • You order your own stops; the route is yours to plan and to lose
  • Late freight arrives mid-shift, sometimes forecast, sometimes withheld until the last minute
  • Fatigue, fitness, food and water shape every stop, and you slow down as the day goes on
  • Ten days to pass probation: pay, trust and write-ups decide whether you keep the route

Features

  • One school week per turn: meetings, game nights and an inbox to clear before Friday
  • No trust meters: coaches, parents and boosters remember what you did and what you promised
  • Judged on the school's own goals: wins, money, grades and fairness

Features

  • Delegation is the danger: the people you empower shape the organization
  • Lies, deals and commitments carry forward
  • You’re Andre, made Acting Chair after Victor’s funeral; now everyone decides whether to follow you

Platform
Windows, on Steam (planned)
Tagline
Breathe while you can.
Release
To be announced

Breathe while you can. Bad Atmosphere is a fast 4v4 shooter where every world has its own physics and weather, and the planet hurts your suit before the enemy does. Gravity, air, wind, heat and pressure change how you move and how guns fire.

The idea

  • Every world breaks a different rule: low gravity on an ice moon, heavy gravity and heat on a lava rig, wind and glass on the dunes
  • Your suit is a second health bar: a cracked visor leaks air until you patch it
  • Shoot out a window and the room decompresses, along with everyone in it
  • Crews are sponsor teams in a televised league, and the planet is the star of the show
Bad Atmosphere press kit ZIP · 6.5 MB

Includes the title logo, key art with and without the logo, and concept art of three worlds. The game is early: this is the look we're aiming for, not in-game footage.
